Knowing that measuring the success and improving the management of interventions is predicated on a strong M&E system that produce quality Data related to program implementation, MF carries out series of capacity building for CCMWs and partners on M&E fundamentals, M&E tools, Data quality management, M&E frame work for HIV/AIDS program, HIV/AIDS surveillance, Data use for Program Managers, National OVC Management Information System (NOMIS) and Data quality assurance, Linkages and Referral Systems, performance tracking using performance tracking indicator table etc. MF also carries out Monthly data review meeting with volunteers and Community Case Management Workers (CCMWs) for corrections, teachings, information dissemination, collation of data towards improved service delivery which forms the basis for further decision making.

Key tools used to achieve desired results include  the National OVC monitoring tools: Child Status Index(CSI), Service Form, Training Sheets, Attendance Sheet, Caregiver Enrollment Form ,Orphans and vulnerable children Enrollment Form, Home Visit Monitoring Form, Enrollment Register ,  Caregiver Enrollment Register ,Orphans and vulnerable children Enrollment  Register, Referral Form ,Service Register, Monthly Summary Form, Fund Tracking Form, Committee Activity Tracking Form, Performance Monitoring Plan (PMP) and the Performance Indicator

At MF, periodic field surveys are conducted such as follow-up assessment to ascertain household vulnerabilities, Nutritional screening and Child Status Index (CSI). The M&E Unit also manages 14,435 beneficiaries’ data from over 31 sites in 2 LGAs (Jos North and Bassa LGAs) of Plateau state using NOMIS platform to capture both client and aggregate level Data. This has greatly improved data collection processes, data security for client details, data queries and analysis are secured, restrictions on client data access privileges also helps restricts access to data. Data transmission is also made easy; service delivery for children most in need is easily prioritized. The quality of data captured/documented, retrieved, reported is rich as compared to relying solely on paper based tools for monitoring.

On the average, MF has improved the lives of over 15,000 Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC) through community interventions. 5,589 Adolescents and their families have been empowered and Medical outreaches conducted for more than 40,000 clients.
